1/22/12 Finnegan was surrendered to TreeTops by his original adopters in mid-December because they felt like they did not have enough time or money to take care of him anymore. Since then, he has been in foster care and is currently looking for a new forever home.
Here is what his foster family says about him: Having never met a cat before, Finnegan was a bit too interested in ours at first. For the first two weeks, the cats and Finnegan had to be separated; but it has gotten MUCH better. He is still interested in what they're doing, but not obsessed with their presence. Simply calling his name diverts his attention and he'll come to you and forget all about the cat. We believe that he can fully adjust to a home that has cats. Finn has bursts of energy and loves to play in the yard with our own two dogs (lab mixes). He is very good on the leash and has recently learned to walk on the treadmill to burn off some energy (for treats of course). He loves to carry around a rope toy and often will sit it on your lap so that you can play tug of war with him. He has an elk antler that he loves chewing, and his favorite place to nap is on his dog bed or next to you on the couch. Finn is crate trained during the workday and at night. He knows the command “puppy house” means it is time to go to his crate. He obeys without fuss and enjoys relaxing in there while we are gone. He's sometimes a little edgy when strangers pet him, but warms up quickly with an introduction. He'd make a great addition for a family with some dog experience who's looking for a trained and well-behaved companion.
3/24/07 Jimbo went home today! Mom, Dad, and kids were all very excited to finally add this great boy to their family.
Jimbo is a very friendly, good natured, and well behaved beagle mix, much more handsome in person than his pictures show. He is a great favorite with his foster mom, her two teenagers and all their friends.
Jimbo was abandoned in West Virginia, and we brought him up to get him out of 2 degree weather in an outside kennel.
Notes from the WV shelter: Very nice and friendly young beagle mix arrived Jan. 8 as a stray. He does not mind life at the shelter especially now that he has a roommate, another young dog. Jimbo is a nice quiet, well-behaved boy but still has some "puppy" in him and likes to play.
