5/14/12 Vader is a wonderful Chi/Min Pin mix. Small like a Chi not larger in stature like a Min Pin. His foster mommy brings him to work sometimes with her, she works in a pet store, and he gets to meet and greet all the humans and dog that come in. He also gets to play with the other animal that hang out there too like, Cats, Kittens, Ferrets, Rabbits, Gerbils, and Birds. He enjoys running around and following him mommy while she is working. He is a typical Chi and will bark at other dogs but doesn't mean anything by it. (You have to be more vocal if you are the smallest one around-to protect yourself.) He would be great with someone that works from home or is retired since he loves to be with people. (if you ever frequent Paws & Claws Pet Store in Kennett Square, PA you might have already met him! If not and you happen to see him, ask for Tracey, she is his foster mom and she can introduce you and tell you more about Vader.) "LET THE FORCE BE WITH YOU." AND GIVE HIM A GREAT FOREVER HOME.
5/2/12 Update:Vader is a very friendly and energetic little guy. He is a true companion dog that really loves to be with his people. He is fine if left for short periods or longer periods if he has a companion dog. Vader really loves to play and chase our other small dogs a lot. I really recommend he go to a home with another playful dog. He loves to play outside, loves to play with toys, chews only on his bones, etc. chases his tail and loves to cuddle! He is great in the car and is always ready for an adventure. He is good on a leash, although he barks a lot on our walks. Haven't been able to get that under control yet. He is doing great with his housebreaking and uses pee pads when he is home alone or fails to get our attention. He does still have an occasional accident, but has made HUGE progress. He is a joy to be around, full of life and love. He is good at entertaining himself when needed and will settle in a bed near where you're working if a lap is unavailable. He will sleep and stay in a crate, although we don't use them too often. He currently sleeps in a bed with us and his buddy or in our daughter's bed at night. He is about 7 months old and weighs around 8 pounds - we look for him to be around 10 pounds when fully grown. He is extremely handsome and athletic as well. He will make a fun and loving addition to a family.

Notes from the shelter: ADORABLE 6-12 month old male chihuahua surrendered because his owners are sick. He is really cute and friendly
