4/27/12  Have you always wanted to own your own muppet? Because that's exactly what Chase looks like- a little shaggy boy with big muppet eyes, big muppet mouth, big muppet paws, and a big muppet personality!  He is an affectionate and playful dog who loves people and other dogs.  He loves cats too, but enjoys chasing them a little too much although the dog savvy cats here take it in stride.   Like many small dogs, Chase likes to have his own way so he will need an experienced owner to make sure he knows who's the boss.  He can be pushy both with people and dogs, but he handles it well when put in his place by either.  Chase would really enjoy having a canine companion and would like to have someone at home at least part-time.

3/5/12 Update from his foster mom: Bowzer has been here a few weeks and is just adorable and very smart.  He does need an experienced dog owner as will test you if he thinks he can get away with something. He is housebroken, loves to play with toys, good with all the dogs here, and excited about but safe with dog savvy cats.  A fenced in yard would be needed as he has lots of energy. He walks well on a leash and loves to go for walks. I think he would be a great agility dog as he can jump over gates, up on beds (from a standstill) . It would do him a lot of good to go to a good obedience class and I bet he would be a star at it. This beautiful, young dog would make someone a loyal, loving companion for a long time.

2/3/12  Bowzer was an owner surrender that was not cared for at all. He had never been groomed and as far as we can tell from an evaluation, he was not treated nicely and possibly was being used and abused as a breeder dog as he doesn't trust being touched and clearly has never had any training as a pet.
