5/8/12 Peaches' babies are playful active kittens now and very people oriented. They will be getting their first shots soon and will be ready for adoption in about two weeks after they're fully weaned. They are:
Georgia- a dilute calico girl. The smallest, the last to open her eyes but the first to walk and talk, and the leader of the bunch. Like most calicos she knows what she wants and will ask for it, loudly!
Momo (Japanese for Peach) - a pale orange or buff boy. He's the biggest, with big round eyes,the most mellow, seems to enjoy cuddling.
Melba - white & orange girl. Most orange tabbies are boys and its unusual to find a girl with so much orange. Less pushy than her sister Geiorgia, she;s still an explorer and does well with handling.
Cobbler- an orange tabby boy with white markings. He and Melba could almost be twins in looks but he;s a little more laid back in personality.
4/7/12 This beautiful family is now in a foster home and they all are in such good shape and are so friendly that I suspect the people who "found" her on their porch and turned them in to the shelter were her owners and decided they didn't want to deal with kittens. Peaches is a stunning white with striking calico spots and so very sweet. The kittens, 2 girls and 2 boys, are beautiful and still have eyes closed and umbilical cords attached, so are maybe a week old. Both mom and babies will be available for adoption in about 7 weeks and Peaches will be spayed before adoption so no more babies for her!
Notes from the shelter: This mom could not be any sweeter! Peaches is a young, calico momma cat. She was recently found hiding out on someone’s porch. She was looking for a safe, quite place to have her kittens. She has 4 tiny newborns that she absolutely adores! There is one grey calico, a buff colred, and 2 orange and white tabbies. She could not be any happier when she is snuggled up with her kittens. You can hear her purr a mile away and she is constantly mixing her paws in the air.
