Description:
6/16/08 Bea is a loving border collie/lab mix. Like most collie mixes she is smart, curious, and highly energetic. She's good with dogs, cats, and kids, and learned the invisible fence and dog door easily. Because she is high energy and easily bored, she will need a fenced yard and a lot of daily exercise, and another dog to play with is preferred. Experience with intelligent high energy dogs, such as border collies is important. Because she's so smart, she would really benefit from obedience training ( or agility!) since she thinks for herself and learns fast. She doesn't mean to be disobedient, but just like a 2 year old, she doesn't think before she acts. She is however, extremely affectionate and companionble, and loves to cuddle with her people.
5/01/08 Bea is a super sweetheart, a real companion dog who loves to follows her people around the house. She's got heartbreakingly soulful brown eyes, and is mostly black with some white markings. At 4 months old she is smaller and more delicate than her brother Arthur, who has more of a lab build, so we think she'll be closer to a usual medium Border collie size. She loves all people, and is good with other dogs and cats. She has learned the invisible fence and the dog door, and is basically housetrained (which means there aren't any accidents as long as you take her out often enough).
4/3/08 Bea (black) & Arthur (black & white) are 6 month old border collies in a South Carolina shelter. They are reported to be very sweet and get along with other dogs. We hope to have them in foster care on on April 19th.
