  New Garden Rescue Day 2009 
New Garden Township cordially invites you to participate in the First Annual NEW GARDEN RESCUE DAY, Saturday October 24, 2009 (raindate Sunday October 25, 2009) in New Garden Township Park, Avondale, PA 19311.
TreeTops Animal Rescue is working with New Garden Township to host what we hope will be an annual event to introduce people to all the great Rescue Organizations that exist in our area. This is a wonderful opportunity to educate the community about the alternatives to pet stores and commercial breeders, and to show them how many truly wonderful animals end up neglected, abused, or abandoned and desperately in need of homes.
The Township has approved the inclusion of horse rescues, as well as dog, cat, and small animal rescues, and we hope to include organizations for working animals such as K-9 units, search & rescue, and service and therapy dogs and horses.
We also will be contacting our local businesses and vendors for support and participation. Since Tree Tops Animal Rescue is a participant in the Pro Plan Rally to Rescue, Purina will contribute posters, water bowls, and T-Shirts, as well as some publicity and funding for the event.
Our local Boy and Girl Scouts Troops will be participating to help make this event possible, and this will also be a great opportunity for local teens needing a community service project!
