7/01/08 Linda is a young energetic, playful and very loving dog who has had a rough life. Although we will consider other applications, our preference is for an adopter who can provide a fenced yard for her to run and play in off-leash and company during part of the day (work part-time, work at home, take the dog to work, dog-walker, etc).

6/22/08 Update from foster mom: Linda is a very loving, sweet girl who will follow you around and give you kisses all day long. We think she is a Papillon/Pomeranian mix about 8 lbs. She is at her maximum on size/considered a small dog. I don't know what the previous owners did to her but she was covered in mats, that have now been removed. She is recovering from flea and tick bites which are NO MORE and she is feeling better. She was just groomed. If you look at the pics below you will see some pics before and after the grooming. Her hair will grow back in weeks to come. She is champagne and light tan coloring and she will have the longer hair as it grows back. She is good in the car, loves to sit on your lap and be held. She sleeps in a crate at night and when we have to go out. She loves to be held and is a little shy but is getting accustomed to people loving her and she is much happier. She likes other dogs but doesn't like to share her food. Linda is very obedient and will sit for treats and loving. She is also great on a leash. She is not a barky dog but will bark with new people come to the door. Again, I have no idea what the previous owners did with her but she has not had an accident in the house at all. We take her out for potty breaks and she goes with no problem.

Note: Linda will be spayed 6/17/08.

6/19/08 Linda is a female crème-colored Papillon mix, 1-2 years old.
Linda was surrendered by her owner to Philadelphia Animal Control because they said they "couldn't train her" but she was dirty, matted, and had fleas and ticks, so clearly they weren't caring for her at all. Linda was absolutely terrified there, but although timid at first, once she left that noisy crowded shelter, she has been sweet and affectionate with everyone.

Linda will be groomed, brought up to date on shots, heartworm tested, and spayed before adoption.
