5/13/12 A FOSTER TOOK HIM TO A MEET & GREET FOR THE DAY - HER EVAL: He seems to be house trained, and crate trained. Next time I am at The Mutt Hutt, I will ask them to confirm how well he goes into his crate. They said he wears himself out playing with the other dogs, then he goes and relaxes and naps for a while. He is the favorite dog for a couple of the dog walkers at the Mutt Hutt and they say he is the perfect dog. He is quiet and doesn't bark even when the other dogs are barking. He is not an in-your-face guy. But he responds to people quite nicely. At the event, several people walked him around and he had to smell everything. He enjoyed being there and interacted well with people and dogs, and I think he saw a horse and was very good around it too! He rides well in the car. Just curls up and lays down for a nice ride. He likes chew toys and rawhides. He is friendly and enjoys children. He is a perfect size for them. He is a great dog.
5/12/12 Judge is being fostered at the Mutt Hutt in Newark now and is a favorite with the staff. He is quiet, calm, friendly with people, and great with all the dogs. Judge is a very handsome medium sized young adult red brown hound mix with a black muzzle, white blaze on his chest, and white on the very tips of his toes. He has shorter legs than a redbone coonhound (which is his coloring), so they think he might have bassett in the mix.
2/5/12 Judge was taken from a hoarding situation, where many of the dogs were in such bad shape they had to be euthanized, and Judge, a submissive and shy boy, has scars all over his face and a home stitched up ear where it was almost ripped off. Judge is a sweet shy boy, good with other dogs, ignores the cats, and is now neutered and up to date on shots.
Notes from the shelter: Judge is 2-3 years old who can be shy at 1st but very sweet once he gets to know you. He is about 40 lbs & poor guy had to have one his ears stitched up at some point before coming us.
