Update from weekend playdate 4/12: Tate is an extremely affectionate dog!
For a young dog, he is not highly active. As long as he is with you, he is
content. He listens well and walks great on a leash. He got along great with my dog & my kids, ages 9 & 12. He doesn't like to be alone but with time and patience from his new owner, he will be a great, loyal, companion. He has a lot of love to give.
3/02/08 Although Tate loves kids, he is timid and needs a lot of attention, so we are looking for a home without small children. He is a velcro dog, always wanting to be close to his people. He does have separation anxiety which can be severe when left alone, so he must be crated and worked with for him to learn to trust that his people will always return for him.
1/26/08 Tate is a small sweet beagle/cocker spaniel mix dog. He has a beagle coat but with a more feathery tail and a cocker face, although he's still way too skinny from his days as a stray. We're trying to get better pictures because the ones we have don't show how adorable he is (he keeps running at the camera!) He does well with other dogs and cats. He LOVES kids and is a real lap dog and an attention hog around people. Tate is neutered, and up to date on all shots.
Tate is a 15 pound sweet & gentle young beagle mix who will be arriving Dec 31st from a pound in rural Georgia where they gas the dogs if they don't find homes quickly.
Tate is just adorable and as sweet as he is cute. He has a great personality and would make a wonderful family pet.

It appears that Tate will NOT be able to attend the event, TreeTops II Meet & Greet on Saturday, April 26th, 2008.
Currently we do not know if Tate will be able to attend the event, New Garden Farmer's Market Opening Day on Saturday, May 17th, 2008.
